| 2003-07-04 | Network outage
Friday\'s early morning outage, and network split was the result of one of the boxes freezing, more specifically of the processor hanging. People were reporting an inability to connect with the lack of the usual downed server messages to Gryphon, while the IRCOps worked to bring the rest of the network together. The outage affected the website, mail server, services, several bots, and the Gryphon server. Things were restored around 10 a.m. Friday morning after a hard reboot of the box. There is the potential that the problems were heat related as the office where the box is kept was described as being like an oven. We do apologize for any inconvenience this 6 hour outage caused.
